Summer 2010

Prepare for a TON of pictures. I will keep the captions short so you don't get too bored.

Jodi, Brett's sis-in-law, took some family pictures of her family this weekend so we joined in the fun and she got some of us too.

Now back to the past for a bit. This was back in April for Easter Sunday.

Brett's mom gave us Easter cookies with our names on them. FUN!

For my birthday in April we headed down to Southern California and stayed at the Nilsen's. They were so hospitable and even watched the kids so we could enjoy Disneyland without them. We did one day by ourselves and one day with Jules. We used the tickets we won on the radio, so it was a very cheap trip for us.

We won 4 tickets and didn't need one day of them and Heather and Taylor were already planning on going so it worked out for them to use them. Since we went on my birthday, I got to wear a button all day and all of the workers wished me a happy birthday all day long. I felt super special.

Jules loves princesses so she was in heaven. She did much better than we thought she would do. She got to dance around with Alice in Wonderland. I have a lot of pictures on my phone but haven't put them on the computer yet.

She loved Dumbo with daddy. I rode by myself so I could get pictures of them.

Of course she loved meeting the princesses.

Toon Town

CALIFORNIA and JULES don't share a lot of similar letters so we went with Juliana and used the "A" because it was more fun than the "L".

She has never even watched "Cars" all of the way through but it was a good picture moment.

We were so excited for Jules to watch the parades but it rained right before, so they were canceled. It got pretty cold but Jules didn't complain once.

We stayed and watched the fireworks and when we were walking down Main Street to leave, Jules fell asleep in the stroller even though there were thousands of people around us.

We love Disneyland and can't wait to go back. Good thing we won tickets on the radio again yesterday. This is the 3rd time winning tickets to Disneyland on the radio! Yay!

The girls birthdays are only 10 days apart so we celebrated them together. I made some princess cakes.

This princess is a little small for the dress but it all works out...right?

My mom got them backpacks for their birthday and it was so funny watching Libby walk around with hers. She started walking in April so she still wasn't super steady but she did great. She also got her ears pierced while we were in California but I guess all of those pictures are on my phone.

Opening presents

Eating the cake all by herself. She was not a fan.

For Memorial Day weekend my family always goes camping. The kids had a blast and loved riding the four-wheelers.

Libby loves men, especially older men. She loves her grandpas and adopts any guy who will hold her.

The 4th of July weekend Brett's brother, Matt and his family, came up from Arizona and we played all week. This is the slip and slide at Brett's parents that we set up for the "kids". Brett soon discovered that you can go faster and further if you have a bag over your body. We had a blast.

We did the temple square thing and watched "Music and the Spoken Word".

We even got up early to watch the balloons. We all look so tired but it was fun.

Then we went to the parade. This is Jules and cousin Megan waving at the princesses on the floats. (I think Jodi was just as excited as the kids :)

Waiting for it to get dark enough to do fireworks.

I just love this picture of Elle. Such a sweetheart.

We also went to the zoo. We loved the bird show.

You have to get one of these shots right?

This is where we let Libby finally get out of the stroller and she went crazy.

I did another half marathon on August. This is the only shot we got and I didn't even see Brett at the finish line. It looks like I'm fake running at this point, I guess I was just so tired. I won't go into detail here because I didn't really enjoy this run. My time was worse than the first time (I got 2:01:30) and that was really disappointing. I did it though and I'm glad I did.

These are Jules' really good friends. She loves playing with them and they are all really sweet to her and Libby.

If you haven't been to Blickenstaffs toy store in the River Woods shopping center you must go. We were all entertained and had so much fun. I can't get enough of this picture of Libby.

This was the coolest tricycle ever. Too bad it was over $300.

We go to play-group with kids in our ward every week and the kids love it. I actually think the mom's love it the most because we get to talk while the kids entertain themselves.

Jules got a new coat so we were trying it on. She decided that Libby needed one too even though she was naked. They loved playing around in them. Looks like they are ready for winter...I on the hand, am not at all.

Libby is now a computer genius. She opened the computer all on her own and started playing around with the mouse.

In other news, 2 huge things are happening in the Wilson home. 1)We are having another baby in May. That will make 3 May babies, all 2 years apart. 2)Brett got a new job working for Adobe and starts mid-October. We are excited for all of the new changes...I think :/
